Every January 1st, we promise ourselves a better life. This year will be different, we say. We stretch, we dream, we hope. But usually, around March, we shrink back into our old shapes, within our familiar limitations.
But this year looks to be different. It’s what numerologists call a Universal One Year. 2+0+1+7=1(0). One Years are all about new beginnings.
This is the year to try something new, something that taps into your uniqueness. It’s the year to think and act independently, to embrace a new perspective. To lead.
In this Universal One Year, the approach to life will be guided by the heart. You will feel more confident, more productive, more creative. You’ll start celebrating your talents, your own specialness. If you’ve been dreaming of creating a new life, this is the year to make it happen.
If you’ve been dreaming of creating a new life, this is the year to make it happen
Of course, the important thing is to begin—make that phone call, set up that Etsy page, write that first chapter. Whatever it is, do the thing that’s gnawing at the base of your brain. Get it done, and celebrate the sense of accomplishment. Then do the next thing. And the next. That’s how it works. You don’t need to know how to get from here to there, just take the first step and the next one will show itself. A year from now, you’ll look back and see how far you’ve come.
That’s how it was with me, in case you’re wondering, when I took that first step toward a new life. That’s how it is with me still. Sometimes, I have no idea how I’ll achieve the goals I’ve set, but I just take it one step at a time. I’m looking back three years now, and I don’t even know myself. Everything is changed.
I’m excited for this Universal One Year, because it’s loaded with what I need to really take off. I’ve been laying the foundation; now is the time to build high. And big.
New Years always presents us with an opportunity to reset. This year will give us a chance to be reborn. Take it.
